Kundal Academy of Development, Administration and Management (Forests) was established by Government of Maharashtra vide its letter No.Est-2012/Pra.Kra.74/F-9/Mantralaya Mumbai, dated 5th May 2012, upgrading the status of the erstwhile 'Forestry Training School' to 'Kundal Academy of Administration, Development and Management'. This Academy will cater to the training needs of Range Forests Officers (RFOs), Assistant Conservators of Forests (ACFs) and other senior level officers from within and outside the state. The Academy is declared as a 'District Level Training Institute' under State Training Policy of Maharashtra and the proposal forest regional state has been sent to the Goverment. The Academy provide mandatory training under State Training Policy Evaluation Agency (STPEA), which comprises of Foundation Training, Refresher Courses, Post-Promotional Courses, and Orientation Courses. Special feature of the Academy is to provide outdoor exposure and training in the latest field of the development and management.

Area of the Academy is spread over 29 acres, with constructional area of 1.73 lakh sq.ft.
7 Classrooms with the capacity of 552 Trainee
300 Residential capacity including spacious Library, Video Conferencing Room, Gymnasium and Yoga Hall.
Executive Hostel facility for 60 persons.
Three Computer Labs with 148 Computers and an e-Classroom.
Walking Track of 1 km, playground, Sports Complex.
There is a proposal to construct a new executive hostel with 40 rooms.
An Indoor Stadium are Badminton Court, Table Tennis, Snooker, Carrom
An Outdoor Stadium are Football, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball
There is an existing "Sahyadri Biopark / Garden".
